Our Story & Structure
Central International University (CIU) is the brainchild of Diversity Learning Institute (DLI).
DLI was founded as a social institute in the city of Hamburg, Germany in 2010 and formally registered in 2012, with a core mission of promoting inclusive learning, capacity building, and social transformation.
Built on this foundation, CIU was established to reimagine higher education pathways—making quality education accessible, affordable, and impact-driven, especially for Africa and other emerging regions.
CIU is led by locally and internationally recognized educators, coaches, innovators, team leaders, and visionary thinkers who are united by a shared commitment to improving educational access and outcomes. This vision is reflected in CIU’s subsidized and affordable fee structures, designed to remove financial barriers for deserving learners.
Impact in Africa
Through strategic collaboration between CIU, DLI Germany, and Twikatane e.V. (founded in 2017), CDT Group Germany has established strong operational roots across Zambia, Kenya, Egypt, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Together, these institutions have supported hundreds of needy and vulnerable students, many of whom have successfully graduated from the Diploma in Agribusiness & Entrepreneurship (AE)—a flagship program under the African Soils Against Poverty (ASAP) Department.
